The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island .Foundation, Inc.

Next to the flag, the Statue of Liberty is the most famous symbol for freedom in America.

Visitors can view the inside of the Statue through a glass ceiling, guided by a park ranger and an enhanced lighting and new video system. In addition, visitors are able to walk out onto the Statue's observation deck to see the panoramic views of New York City and the Harbor.

Time passes are needed to enter the monument, which are available at the ferry ticket offices, located in the Battery Park at the fortress called Castle Clinton. Ticket- purchase is based for walkins on a fisrt- come, first- served basis, but reservation is possible too: Call the Ferry company at 1- 866- 782- 8834; U.S. calls only.
