Claremont Riding Academy

Claremont Riding Academy, established in 1892, is the oldest continuously operated stable in the United States. Claremont stables over 100 horses, with facilities for private boarders as well as school mounts.

The stable's staff consists of 15 experienced and professional riding instructors. The school horses range from quiet beginner mounts to horses schooled through the third and fourth level, competing regularly.

Claremont is primarily a riding school, but the horses are also available for hire to ride along Central Park's three bridle paths. Riders must qualify as an intermediate- level English style rider before taking a horse out.
