Billed as "New York's premier historic dining experience", the tavern was first opened in 1762. It is here that George Washington made his farewell address to his officers in 1783.
The entrance features an original fireplace and a portrait of the establishment's first proprietor Samuel Fraunces.
The restaurant has numerous dining rooms, decorated with white linens and chandeliers, tasteful antiques and oil paintings.
The traditional American menu offers meatloaf, steak, various sandwiches, salads and desserts.
