Level V

The Level V lounge is located underneath Vento Trattoria, a swanky Italian restaurant on Hudson Street. Level V is a luxe, dungeon- like space: opium- den chic with winding hallways, flickering candles, stone walls and floors, all drenched in a warm, red light that's reflected off of a pristine mirror and offset by plush, cherry- colored chairs surrounding low tables. Due to its subterranean location, the place has almost no cell phone service.

The lounge also features seven brick- lined VIP rooms separated by a peekaboo screen, where celebrities can have their private parties and listen to their own music. Meanwhile, the regular New Yorkers in their late twenties dance to the DJ's funky music on the dance floor.
