The China Club has often been used as a film location for dozens of films, commercials, music videos and television series, and it is a real magnet for celebrities. The club is often referred to as the "Living Room of Rock and Roll," and not without reason. It started out as a neighborhood nightclub with live music and dancing. Then, on November 19, 1985, the neighborhood club made rock and roll history. David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Stevie Winwood all showed up to celebrate the birthday of drummer Steve Ferrone from Duran Duran. They decided to stage an impromptu jam session but they didn't have a guitarist. David Bowie made a phone call and twenty minutes later, Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones showed up at the club. They jammed for over an hour, playing hit after hit. After that night the story was widely reported and there certainly was no doubt that the China Club had arrived. It has been a success since.

Posted by Claris, 28 February, 2008Check out the China Club, its awesome. When I was there with my girlfriend last summer, they provided us with the best food and cocktail drinks perfect for the ambience of the bar itself. They have this nice view that defines what the China Club is all about. The owner done such a great job making China Club a nice place in all aspects..
