Gershwin Hotel

The Gershwin Hotel can also be called a a mini- arts centre, for it has a history of art. It owes its history to the New York Pop Art scene of the 1960's, with Andy Warhol as the artistic godfather to the hotel. The lobby is a famous gallery within itself exhibiting up and coming artists.

Next to its devotion to Pop Art, the Gershwin is also a famous budget hotel in the heart of Manhattan. It offers a wide range of accomodation: From dorms to private rooms to familiy rooms and suites, and they even have a whole floor with rooms for models only. The prices range from to 9 per night. As a consequence, the guests are as diverse as the beds that they sleep in.

Being an art hotel, design is a ruling factor. One of the rooms features a moose head above the bed, the family room can accomodate the littlest one in a desiger cradle, the dorms have a retro colour scheme...
