Each weekend The Annex/Hell's Kitchen Flea Market, also known as "The Dollar Lot", transforms a vacant lot at 39th Street between 9th and 10th Avenue into a world- renown shoppers' haven. This destination location for tourists and residents combines The Annex - America's most famous outdoor urban flea market - with the antiques, designer clothing and accessories of Hell's Kitchen Flea Market. No wonder that these hidden treasures and memorable collectibles also attract dozens of celebrities and high- profile designers, such as Andy Warhol, Marisa Tomei, the Queen of Spain, Madonna as well as Sarah Jessica Parker.
Since its founding by Alan Boss in 1976, the market's base of antique dealers has grown from a handful to more than 1000 dealers today.
