Gay Pride Week

Heritage of Pride (HOP) is the not- for- profit, volunteer organization which plans and organizes New York City's annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride events. The event week in June consists of the March, the Rally, the Dance and the Pridefest. Everybody supporting the struggle for equal rights is invited to to participate.

NYC's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Pride Week 2006 takes place June 16 through June 25, 2006. Participants will start marching on 5th Avenue at 52nd Street and parade to Christopher at Greenwich Street. The March starts at noon. At 2pm, everyone is asked to stop marching, talking, dancing etc. This is the Moment of Silence, a moment of remembrance for those members of the community lost to AIDS.
