Rothko

This Lower East Side venue features a minimalist, high- ceilinged, red- walled space. The main room is lined with padded church pews. Friendly barkeepers man the sizeable wooden bar where you can get affordable drinks and also wine by the glass.
Artists and musicians gather here to watch bands jam on the back stage. DJs often warm up the crowd or close out the night, but this bar is first and foremost about the bands.
