Madame X

A lounge with a sassy history: The upper level was once an early '90s whorehouse fronted by a nail salon, and the lower level was a reggae music store masking a marijuana dealership.

Inspired by this past, the founders of Madame X set out to create a lounge modeled after a 1920s French bordello. The lounge is drenched in red light and red velvet with many sofas and armchairs, heavily fringed lampshades, large- scale oils, Persian rugs, dramatic crimson lighting, humidor, dormer skylight, a charming hidden back patio with a gently gurgling waterfall and wind chimes, old world style and hidden surprises like for example a funny little five- by- five nook with ladder access.

Madame X entertains an eclectic crowd and DJs are spinning a wide range of tunes every Wednesday through Saturday.

The cocktail list carries on with the Madame X's enticingly naughty apparel. Drinks are fruty and have names like Sweet Little Bitch or Pussy Galore.
