Art collector Solomon R. Guggenheim and artist- advisor Hilla Rebay were the founders of the Guggenheim Museum. The New York Guggenheim, a spiral shaped building architected by Frank Lloyd Wright, opened in 1959.

As the visitors walk the spiral walkway toward the dome above, they will view works from artists of the 19th and 20th century including: Brancusi, Braque, Calder, Chagall, Robert Delaunay, Giacometti, Kandinsky, Klee, Leger, Miro, Picasso, and Van Gogh.

Students and Seniors (65 and over) with valid ID
Children (under 12) Free
Members Free

Museum Hours:
Sat–Wed 10 AM–5:45 PM
Fri 10 AM–8 PM
Closed on Thursdays and Christmas Day, open all other holidays
