The Soho Playhouse seats 199 people and features the downstairs cabaret/bar Huron Club. At the turn of the century, the cabaret used to be a popular night club for the Tammany Hall machine, and was later frequented by the infamous Mayor of New York Jimmy "Beau James" Walker, known as "The Night Mayor" due to his predilection for jazz clubs and chorus girls. In the 1960's, the theater used to be the Village South, and under this name has seen many famous playwrights on its historic stage, including Edward Albee, Terrance McNally and A.R. Gurney. The renovated Soho Playhouse doesn't fail to keep a charming and elegant ambiance respectful of the theater's rich past.

Every Saturday night, sleight of hand expert and con- man Simon Lovell will go through his wild and hilarious hobbies as he reveals his most famous tips and tricks in the Huron Club. Tickets are .

The Soho Playhouse has dinner packages with SoHo's hottest restaurants to offer.
